Mixtape: Classiq “Soul Exposé”

I just discovered this new project by Classiq, and I was definitely impressed by it.  The aptly titled Soul Exposé features the type of soul samples that would make 2004-2005 Kanye proud.  If you’re into dope boy rap, or swaggafied gangsta ish, this isn’t the project for you.  If you like good beats, and good rhymes though, you may like this as much as I’m starting too.  It’s classic (or classiq), some might even say “backpacker” rap, but sometimes the kid’s bars jump off these laid back tracks like the best of the newbies.  Not to mention, he produced “You Don’t Know” in addition to ripping it like Hulk Hogan’s wife beater.  Lotta potential here.  Check it out.
